Vivian Hunt, 64, dies

Vivian L. (Niesley) Hunt, 64, of Troy, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 25, 2006 in the Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy.

She was born on Jan. 12, 1942 in Piqua, daughter of the late Roger L. and Betty J. (Manning) Niesley. Vivian formerly lived in Pleasant Hill and then, along with her husband, Jan, relocated to Sarasota, Fla. and has spent the last several years in Troy.

Vivian was a 1960 graduate of Newton Schools. She married Jan D. Hunt, who survives, on June 12, 1960 in Pleasant Hill. She was employed by the Troy Eagles.

When you think of Vivian, you think of horses; Vivian loved horses. She helped her family, who races horses, clean and groom and helped out in many ways to provide for their care. She was a member of the Miami County Horseman's Association and Indiana Horseman's Association. She had a special love and fondness for two horses in particular; Stars Mission and Lady.

Family was important to Vivian. She enjoyed her kids, grandkids, and everyone in between. Vivian will be missed and remembered by her husband of over 46 years,
Jan D. Hunt of Troy; sons and daughter-in-law, Douglas Lee Hunt of Troy, Denny D. and Christy Hunt of Greenville, and David Allan Hunt of Sarasota; grandchildren, Holly Hunt and Dakota Hunt; step-grandchildren, Kenny Mincer and Sara Mincer; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Barry and Sue Niesley of Pleasant Hill, Tom and Lynn Niesley of Clayton, and A.J. and Tammy Niesley of Pleasant Hill; brother and sister-in-law Kay and Phyllis Hunt of Bellefontaine; sister-in-law, Marsha Adams of Covington; many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Note: Vivian almost always accompanied Doug when he raced his horses in Indiana on the ISFC.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to Doug, Jan, and the entire family.  She was a super nice lady who always wore a smile.
