George G. Knox, 77, of Converse, Indiana, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2004.  He was found by friends from the Converse Fairgrounds, after he had apparently experienced a heart attack.  George was a blacksmith at the Chicago area racetracks for many years.  He had been retired for the past 15-20 years.  Services were held on Monday, February 23rd, with a burial in Converse Cemetary.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Amboy American Legion Post 429, 101 E.
