Caretaker Jean Levers, 40, Dies

Jean Levers passed away on Sunday morning, March 21, 2004, after losing her fight with cancer.  Levers, 40, was a caretaker with the Danny Collins Stable for the past three years.  She took care of such outstanding horses as the Ohio champion Hez Striking, a national season's leader and multiple Ohio Sires Stake winner.

In addition, Levers took care of Hesza Laser, also a season's leader and a champion in the 4- and 5-year-old Ohio Sire Stakes.  Another horse to benefit from her care was Air Touch, a multiple Ohio Sire Stakes winner and national season's leader.

She is survived by her daughter Sabrina.
