Amzie "Dubby" Neafus, 59, dies

Amzie W. (Dubby) Neafus Jr., 59, Corydon, died Friday, July 18, 2008, near Palmyra, Indiana.

Born Nov. 28, 1948, in New Albany, he was the son of the late Willard Amzie and Ruby L. Windell Neafus.

He was retired from Fischer Packing Co. in Louisville, was a part-time employee for Paul and Ryan Hall, was a member of the Mount Tabor Church of Christ near Depauw, the Pisgah Lodge 32 F&AM in Corydon and the Royal Arch, and was an owner and breeder of harness-racing horses.

Survivors include his wife, the former Sharon Sue Davis; two sons, Gary Wayne Neafus of Albion, Ill., and Michael Ray Neafus of Corydon; a sister, Rueann Shewmaker of Central; and two grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial gifts to Boys Haven Equine Program, 2301 Goldsmith Lane, Louisville, KY 40218.
