Jim Robinson, 59, dies

Kentucky-based horseman Jim Robinson
died Friday, August 12,
after a long battle with cancer. He was 59.
Mr. Robinson began driving horses in the mid 1970s, directing 1,285 career
winners. He had more than $2.3 million in purse earnings. As a
trainer, Mr. Robinson had more than 268 winners and $518,000 in purse earnings
since the U.S. Trotting Association began keeping trainer stats in 1991.
Visitation and funeral were held in Louisville, Kentucky. Cards may be
