Jerome Rosenstock, 77 - Boca Raton, FL

Jerome Rosenstock, a Standardbred owner, died on January 3, 2002.  He was 77 years old.  A resident of Boca Raton, Florida, Mr. Rosenstock was the son of the late Louis and Anna Rosenstock of Ellenville, New York.  Mr. Rosenstock was president of General Sportswear Co. of Ellenville, NY, until his retirement in 1985 and was a harness horse owner since the late 1960s.  In recent years, his horses have been trained in the Bobby Reeser Stable, summering at Hoosier Park.  His top performers included Pompano Park track record holder So Striking 4, 1:55.1f ($135,148), Nevele Sandy 6, 1:56 ($173,372), and Prince Pine 5, 1:57.1f ($143,659).  Prince Pine joined the Indiana stallion ranks when he retired from racing.  He continues to serve stallion duty in the Hoosier state.  Mr. Rosenstock is survived by two daughters, Karen and Linda; and two grandchildren, Jared and Jordana.
