Patricia Ann Shaw, 80, dies

Patricia Ann Shaw, 80, of Converse, Indiana, died at 1:48 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2006, at the Wishard Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.  Although she had been in failing health for 4-5 months and suffered a broken hip 2 months ago, the cause of death was Cardiac Arrest.

Mrs. Shaw was a homemaker, former member of the Somerset Eastern Star and the Converse Euchre Club.  She was a longtime fan of harness racing.  Her two children continue to be active in the sport. 

Survivors include son, Jim Shaw, Converse; daughter, Susanne (Dave) White, Indianapolis; sister, Jackie (Wayne) Kistler, Mexico, Ind.; six grandchildren, Brett Shaw, Matt Shaw, Melissa Hatfield, Elise Metz, Amy Byrum and Christy Hancock; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald G. Shaw on October 2, 1999; and by her parents, Harold A. and Marie G. (Macy) Huffman.

Funeral Service were held on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Larrison-Martin Chapel, 308 East Marion Street, Converse, Indiana, with burial at Mississinewa Cemetery, Somerset.
