Mother of Indiana Track Chaplain passes away
Hattie (Walker) Webb, 94, Anderson died January 23, 2007 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born November 18, 1912 in Rickman, Tennessee, and resided in Anderson since 1952. She was a homemaker and retired from National Tile. She was a member of Gospel Light Chapel. Hattie loved making quilts, crocheting and painting.
She is survived by her children: Irene Joyce Dickey of Anderson, Loyce Lee & wife Judith (Estle) Webb of Anderson, Claudean & wife Theresa (Collins) Webb and James Haskel & wife MaryAnn Webb of Tennessee. Sisters-in-law: Opal Webb and Ona Wilson. Brother-in-law: Jim Webb, Ten Grandchildren: Anthony & wife Karen Dickey, Stephanie & husband Greg Maynard, Dirk & wife Natalie Webb, Darla & husband Jeffery Poore, Cherylene & husband Chandulal Munjani, Ross & wife Karen Webb, Scott & wife Carol Webb, Kristie & husband Jason Collins, Amy & husband Shane Womack and Amber and husband Andrew Oaks. Twenty-three great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband whom she married February 23, 1934: Clyde Webb who passed away in June of 1996; parents, Isaac Rice & Nancy Jane (Harris) Walker; son-in-law, Billy M. Dickey; five sisters, four brothers, one grandson and one great grandson.
Services were held on Friday, January 26, 2006, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home & Crematory, with Mrs. Webb’s son, Rev. Loyce Webb officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Anderson.
