New Claiming Procedures For 2005 Season

Beginning with the start of the 12th season of harness racing Saturday, April 2, a new claiming procedure will be put into place.  All claims will be submitted at the racing office.

Karen Baker, the horsemen’s bookkeeper, will be located in her office, which is adjacent to the race secretary’s office, during the night to accept all claims.  All prior rules regarding claims will be in effect.  Monies submitted for claims can be presented in the form of certified check, cashier’s check, or taken directly from the horsemen’s account through Baker.

Also, all claims will be announced prior to the start of the race involving claimed horses.

During the first week of racing at Hoosier Park, claiming events ranging from $5,000 to $40,000 are included on the condition sheet.  For more information regarding claims, contact the racing office.
