Indiana Horse Racing Commission Policy Statement

Bleeder Adjunct Medications *

The Indiana Horse Racing Commission is fully supportive of the Racing Medication and Testing Consortium's (RMTC) efforts to fund studies aimed at determining the effectiveness of bleeder adjunct medication.

The Indiana Horse Racing Commission will refrain from considering the user of any race day bleeder adjunct medication until such time that appropriate scientific evidence has been established.

The Indiana Horse Racing Commission will consider bleeder adjunct medication upon recommendation from the RMTC and development of Association of Racing Commissioners International (RCI) model rules.
