No person shall use improper, profane, or indecent language, or be abusive to a racing official, or any employee of Indiana Downs or the Indiana Horse Racing Commission. In addition, no person shall, in any manner, or at any time, disturb the peace or make themselves obnoxious while on the grounds.
Qualifying Races The first two qualifying races will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2007 and Saturday, July 14, 2007. Qualifying races will be held on Tuesday (for 2 & 3 year olds ONLY) and Saturday at 10 a.m. Entries for qualifiers close at 11:00 a.m. the day before they are scheduled. There will be no additions once the qualifiers are drawn. THERE WILL BE NO QUALIFIERS ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 25; SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 8; AND SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13.
Horses in qualifying races must be in the paddock 30 minutes before the qualifying races begin. Lasix for Qualifiers is given in the Test Barn at 7:00 a.m.
Qualifying standards are for races on a track classified as fast. Qualifying standards may be changed or altered by the racing secretary at any time. All current qualifying standards will be posted on the weekly condition sheet. Only extended pari-mutuel wins will be considered in conditions.
THE 30 DAY RULE WILL BE IN EFFECT (RACE DATE TO RACE DATE) in accordance with rules and regulations of the Indiana Horse Racing Commission.
Extended Pari-Mutuel Race - A race held at a meet with no agricultural fair in progress and with an annual total of more than 10 days of pari-mutuel betting.
Horses scratching from the nine post position after the draw will automatically start from the nine post position in their next start. This rule will not apply to "paid in" events or race office/judges error.
All overnight races are considered subs.
Horses must be entered at the race secretary's office, including telephone entries, no later than the time prescribed on the weekly condition sheet. No entries will be accepted by fax, e-mail, voice mail, or other electronic mediums.
Telephone entries will be accepted; however, they are made at the peril of the person making the entry and shall not be cause for a redraw. When entering horses, please use the appropriate event number for the class. Exact spelling of questionable names should be brought to the attention of the person taking the entry.
Trainers that race horses for the same owner are responsible for noting on the declaration that there is a possible owner entry with another horse from another stable.
Any and all classes may be combined in a competitive fashion. Horses "IN TO GO" have no preference, and have no bearing on any race filling. A race is considered filled when it has ten separate betting interests.
Horses entered in alternate events will not be transferred to a race that is full if they have a chance to draw in to their first choice.
With certain condition events, please see notes on condition sheet with stipulations dealing with the horse's last start. These races will be marked with an *****.
Horses must have four lifetime starts before being entered to race in classes based on money earnings in the last four starts.
All wins on horses from foreign countries will be considered extended pari-mutuel wins. All foreign horses my be classified at the discretion of the racing secretary.
In claiming handicap races, the base price must be in
$1,000 increments. All claiming races will be with allowances.
2 YO = 100%, 3 YO = 50%, 4 YO = 25%, MARES = 20%
The Racing Secretary may place entries in their proper class if entered incorrectly.
Any entry may be refused if deemed non-competitive by the Racing Secretary.
Horses will score 9 horses on the gate, with 1 horse trailing.
All condition changes and corrections will be entered on the bottom of the overnight sheet or announced as needed.
All horses are required to have a current negative Coggins (within 1 year) and a current Herpes (Rhino) vaccination (within 6 months) on file in the racing office and must be dated and signed by the veterinarian. Horses that do not abide by this rule will not be allowed on the grounds, NO EXCEPTIONS!
