Important Notes from Indiana Downs
1. All horses must have a valid Coggins Test within ONE (1) YEAR AND show proof of vaccination for equine herpes virus (Rhino) within the last SIX (6) MONTHS to enter the stable area. The proof of rhino vaccination MUST be dated and signed by the veterinarian. HORSES NOT MEETING THESE REQUIREMENTS WILL BE DENIED ACCESS TO THE STABLE AREA OF INDIANA DOWNS. NO EXCEPTIONS!
2. Any & all races may be combined in a competitive fashion.

CLAIMING RACE RULES:
A) Claiming allowances: 2 YO = 100% ~ 3 YO = 50% ~ 4 YO = 25% ~ Mares = 20%
B) In Claiming Handicaps, enter base price in $1,000 increments.
C) All claiming races will be with allowances.
D) Claiming handicap race entries must enter for only those prices listed on the
condition sheet.
E) Claiming Authorizations are available in the Racing Office

Qualifying Schedule:
Tuesday mornings at 10:00 a.m.
5. Condition horses may drop one (1) condition class & claiming horses may drop into a condition race comparable to a 1 class drop by claiming purse. In condition events, horses may not drop more than one class each start without approval of the racing secretary.
6. Purses for combined races may be the difference between those races combined.
7. The Race Office will be staffed from 7:30 a.m. to Post Time for the first race, each and every night of live racing.
8. The Race Office will be closed on Sunday.
9. Telephone entries are accepted; however, it is the caller's responsibility to get a Condition Sheet and give the entry clerk the event number(s) and SHALL NOT be cause for a redraw.
10. Look for Extra Races to be written daily!
11. The "Up Front" or Grandstand Paddock WILL NOT be used for harness racing this meet.
