During his racing career, Abercrombie was owned by L. Keith Bulen and Shirley Mitchell.  He raced on the ITPHA circuit as a 2 year old and was USTA Horse of the Year in 1978.  He has had four 1:53 miles and earned $984,391 in a lifetime.  In 1987, 1988, and 1990, he was the top money-winning sire.
