Guinea Gold was bred by Hettie Dunkin, Indianapolis, Indiana, and sold to Pearl and Paul Hungerford of Shelbyville, after his colt performances.  During his 9 year campaign, he was regarded as one of the toughest free-for-all pacers in the nation.
