Electrifying:
Valley
Electric has come from humble beginnings
to become the richest offspring of Electric Yankee
Sometimes the best horse an owner can have is one he tried to sell in the first
place.
Such is the case of Valley Electric, who failed to sell as a yearling,
and was taken back by breeder Bill Huggins of Wolcottville, Ind. All the bay
pacing mare has done since then is bank more than $750,000 in five years on the
racetrack, making her far and away the richest offspring of Electric Yankee, as
well as the all-time leading money-winning mare sired by an Indiana-based
stallion.
