Indiana Downs unveils
Indiana Summer Championships
For the first time in their history,
Indiana Downs
will host a special night of live racing on Saturday, August 25
that will be devoted strictly to Indiana sired horses and presented in a “Super
Night” format.
Named The Indiana Summer Championships, this stakes heavy card, with an
estimated $720,000 in purse money up for grabs, will consist of ten Indiana
Sires Stakes finals. These finals include all the 2-year-old pacers and trotters
of series one and all the 3-year-old pacers and trotters of series two. In
addition to the finals for the 2- and 3-year-olds, the final for older stallion
and gelding trotters will be contested, along with the final for older pacing
mares.
The remaining portion of the card will consist of three or four additional races
that are yet to be determined, but will be for Indiana sired horses.
